VIVE PRODUCTIONS was founded by METTE LISBY and JESPER BAEHRENZ. In 2004, the couple left their native Denmark, where they had both gained high-profile celebrity status after almost 15 years of being at the very forefront of broadcasting and comedy. They first moved to London, where VIVE productions was founded, taking Baehrenz and Lisby into new areas, writing and producing for others, as well as getting into the booming board game industry with a host of innovative and fun game concepts.

Expansion into the US market
On the strength of their UK successes, Lisby and Baehrenz took VIVE Productions to the next logical step – Hollywood. The company opened up its Los Angeles office in the summer of 2009, and is continuing to expand the company in the US market. This is also reflected by the addition of Amy Taylor to the VIVE Productions family in 2011.

METTE LISBY

Being one of the most popular stand-up comedians in Denmark since 1992, Mette Lisby was embraced by the TV-industry in 1994 – a long term relationship that developed her broad-ranged skillfulness as a comedian.

Hosting the Danish version of the BBC format “Have I Got News For You”, she set new standards for satire and was voted most popular TV-host 5 times by the Danish viewers.

Mette has hosted “Good Morning Denmark” – the Danish Breakfast show, she presented and co-wrote her own sketch show (“FC Lisby”) and had her own primetime talk-show (“Linen Ud”).

Right before Mette moved to the UK, she hosted the Danish equivalent of Paul Merton’s “Room 101″ on Danish Television.

Mette had a sell-out national tour with her “One Woman Comedy Show”, which also has topped the DVD sales charts.

Mette Lisby is still one of Denmark’s most popular, respected and sought after Stand Up Comedians.

AMY TAYLOR

Amy Taylor is a former journalist who holds a B.A. in International Relations from Stanford University where she edited The Stanford Daily’s World and Nation pages.

Following graduation, Amy received a German Federal Chancellor Fellowship to study film and theater in Berlin.

After returning from Berlin, Amy began the MFA program in Production at the USC School of Cinema-Television.  At USC, Amy directed a number of films including the documentary “Childless by Choice” and the award-winning narrative short “Robert and Theresa”.  Amy also edited the provocative 9/11 documentary “Loyalties”.

Following graduation, Amy worked at the Young and the Restless as a production associate and for Cormacks Productions as Director of Development.

Currently, Amy works as a screenwriter.  Her romantic comedy The Surrogate took first place in both the Big Bear Lake and Phoenix International Film Festivals and her romantic comedy The Date Screener is being produced by Christina Mitropoulou in Europe.
